Greyhound Racing

Hi there. I'm making a greyhound racing game and I need some help with types of bet. Also sorting the winning positions of all 3 dogs too(and dead heat situations). The types of bet are :- win, place, forecast and tricast. Tried to figure it but I'm stumped. My skills are quite limited. The dog animations I've made I'm very pleased with though.....Regards...Dave..:-)...

    try this link

Basically each dog in your program will have a number assigned, there will be a bet type with dog numbers
assigned and an amount wagered and then you'll have some race animation at the end of which you'll have a race
result (dog number and finishing position randomly determined) and then you can work out from the bet type and
the result if the bet was successful or not and assign winnings.

Have a look at Wembley Greyhounds in the WoS archives as it's written in BASIC.

    HTH,
    Derek.
