OutRun (arcade): Which song?

Inspired by a recent Facebook post from RetroGamer, which was your favourite in-game track to burn rubber to?

Personally, I like them all, but Magical Sound Shower is the one I find myself choosing most often.

I mostly select Splash Wave if I play a quick game of Outrun: Coast 2 Coast.

Magical Sound Shower - one of the all-time great chip tunes. The others are great too, particularly Last Wave (the tune that plays on the hi-score table).

I honestly don't have a favorite and will usually play three games in one sitting. One for each track :)

Another vote for MSS. Great tune. The others are excellent too though.

Not a big fan of driving games but have fond memories of Out Run on various formats.

I like that one too, it's almost like a "chillout" version of Splash Wave. :)

Last waves showed the benefits of FM sound. It really did sound like an Electric Piano.

Last Wave always reminds me of the relaxing music you get in JRPGs like the FF series when you're in a town (and especially staying at an inn for the night).

I like 'em all as well, but I always preferred Splash Wave....most of the time I'd be like Bob and have 3 games so I could hear all 3 though! ;)

Yeah, I just remember that I usually select the third song in the list, and i automatically assumed the choices in the OP reflected that. :P

Anyways, I meant Passing Breeze as farvourite song. MSS is incredibly distracting if played in-game so that I usually not choose it when playing.

Just played the music on the youtube and it brought back memories of playing this in the arcades on holiday at Southerness Caravan Park in Dumfriesshire in he late 80's. Think it was only 20p a go

They added two new songs to the 3DS version of Outrun - the songs have been programmed to work with the original (emulated) hardware so they sound very much in keeping with the original three tunes.
