Christmas Holidays!

How much time do you get off over Christmas?
I only get Christmas and Boxing Day which is better than last year when I had to get up at 4.30am on Boxing day to go to work.
It's still pretty crap especially as a lot of my friends get loads of time off.

  • We're closed from the 23rd, until the 4th. Can't complain. ;)
  • Work always makes us take the three days off between Christmas and New Year and closes the office, and that comes out of our annual allowance. But I've still got another week's holiday I haven't taken, so I'm off from the 19th right through until the 4th January!

    Ditto! :)

I'm also carrying 3 and a half days annual leave over so I'll be taking some time off in Jan/Feb.

  • Barely any, we all get Christmas eve off, but it's not guaranteed we'll get Christmas day or new years off.

  • 1 day, Christmas day...we might get to go home at 2pm or so on Christmas eve :/

Not too bad this year because of the way the holidays fall - my last day is the 23rd, back in on the 29th and possibly half day on the 30th or 31st (depending on how busy we get), and then off until the 4th.

Although the Christmas rush started earlier this year (I run the websites for a gift company), I'm currently on day 36 of about 48 without a day off. Must do something about that...

My boss used to send us home at lunchtime every Christmas Eve, but he hasn't done that for a couple of years, so I've booked it off this year.

  • FInish on 22nd. Booked 23rd off, company gives you your birthday off if it's a weekday, so that's the 24th. Forced to have 29th to 31st through annual leave and back on the 4th. So not a bad few days :-)

I remember this time last year when you had a similar crazy run of work in the toy factory. Santa is a real slave-driver! ;)

  • Got some recent holidays this year (remember the problems i had last year?). I got Christmas Day, Boxing Day &t the 27th off, then i have New Year's Day, the 2nd & the 3rd off. Only downside is that New Year's week i'll be working late.

  • I've not had much time off this year, so I've booked a full two weeks off. I can't wait.
    Sod it!

The vacation schedule at my work is blacked out for the entire month, NO HOLIDAYS AT ALL!!!

Which annoyed me as it's usually just the last 2 or 3 weeks blacked out, but this year the c**ts blacked the entire month out!

I had 2 personal days left as well, which I now can't take, and after this year they're no longer cashing in unused time off, you don't take it you lose it.

So next year they're going to be struggling without a manager a lot more than they were this year, oh well :))

  • Time off? Well I'm at home from Mon 13th to Jan 8th. But I'll be working most days.

Time off just means doing your work but not in the office.
