That reminds me of this horrible French beer my dad used to get from someone at work, he would get a case of 24 in little bottles and they were rank.
Was it the dreaded E.....S......P...? ;)
....Sorry I tried googling for an image, but the cheapo super strength beers, and the hipster beers have rustled the name E.S.P. for themselves apparently.
....and I can't be bothered to spend a long time looking for a pic :P
Gawwwd they look sh!t. They look like something from the 40s. They look the like the type of battery that if you left them in for more than a week they would begin corroding. Batteries, even cheap ones do not corrode like I remember them doing as a kid. I have many memories of leaked Blue EverReady Batterys destroying electronic toys.
Blue Ever Ready?!
Bah luxury!!
You haven't lived until you see the look of crushing disappointment on a young child's face when his yapping toy poodle packs in after six barks, courtesy of a duff Flying Bomb.

Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb!
Looking forward to summer in Somerset later in the year :)

I remember Flying Bomb batteries, they were terrible and never lasted more than a few days in anything.

You're likely to end up in Gitmo ;)
The posh ever-ready were the black ones. I'm sure there were other colors too. Funny though I can remember when Eveready Blue was made of cardboard.
What happened to Eveready Batteries, did they become Energizer?
