I just had a quiet one watching telly up at my mate's, before walking down the road at 11.30pm, and witnessing shooting stars, the Northern Lights and then entering the village just as the bells went and fireworks started exploding in a circle right round about me.... and I also had a view of them off in the the distance right round the Lothians! Pretty surreal, but pretty cool!

Glad you has a good one Deadpan. Mine is a boooring one (It's still last year here). I'm at home doing nothing, wife's tired, kids are sleeping and I'm so knowing what to do with myself that I'm working.

I did bugger all last night.

Drank a few beers, played a bit Playstation, hung out with my nephew playing Ninja Turtles and Batman, and by the time it was time to go to one of the parties I'd been invited to I was knackered.....I was in bed by half 9 :))

That's about an hour earlier than last year, of course I'd have gone out, but my sleep is shot with me working nights, and I go in tonight, so I didn't want to throw my sleep out of whack too much.

So erm Happy New Year everybody...it's just another day to me though :p
