If I do appear selective its because I only comment on artists that interest me musically. George's music has been a theme of several stages of my life throughout my childhood and in to my adult years.
thing is, Scottie.. you were quick enough to point out his choices.. yet didn't of Carrie, why? because you remember her from your childhood,in a good light ? .like the rest of us.
Her negative stories weren't known in the UK as much, maybe because of her not living here. I wouldn't have brought up either, even though in the age of the internet they are now better known.
I notice the current trend of the media trying to find out / mentioning how much someone left money wise, or who they left it to, I think that's off also.
As for the UK media, they were quick enough to write anything negative about George (they even held a party / took half the day off for the major one). Interesting now that the truth is coming out about charity work etc. they seem to have changed their tact, for the moment.
I don't agree / condone what he did driving either (as do 1000's of more in the UK do what he did) , considering he could have got a cab or was rich enough to have a chauffeur. He said him getting a driving ban / losing his license was the best thing that could have happened.
zx1 , no my neighbour won't do that, in the cold weather.
yes Mel, I did mean pneumonia, the auto correct changed it. Well, at least it gave boozy some entertainment.
Luny , sometimes the world is a small place, really small. maybe some of you have had that experience regarding folk you know / meet.

Because I am not a Star Wars fan but happen to like George Michael's music a lot. I'm more interested in his life and know very little if anything about Carrie. I only mentioned Carrie as I was aware others were following her progress.
I didn't know Carrie's mum was Debbie Reynolds. Maybe news of her daughter's death was too much for her.
Really sad.
Apparently her last words to her son was, I miss Carrie so much, I want to be with her. So very very sad for a family to cope with , especially at this time of year

Carrie is as interesting due to how she grew up / her parents. that film defined what she did after, much as it did the likes of harrison ford etc.
sadly her mum (Debbie Reynolds) also has passed away.. but she got to 84.. so thats a good age at least.
