I've been thinking when the BBC broadcast the Tribute to Bruce Forsythe TV show its going to be a really good program. Shame I'm not going to be able to see it. I would be inclined to torrent it if I knew of a good source, but I don't.
He made covers for Dinamic (Rocky, Abu Simbel, Phantomas 1 & 2, ...) but he also worked with Topo and Opera. His works were icons of the golden years of the spanish software. His works are so appreciated in Spain as Bob Wakelin's in the UK.

Now this is spooky. I've been at home all day, not had any news of tv on. Got bored about 5 and decided to put on the Nutty Professor!!! Honest to gods.
RIP Tobe. I didn't get around to seeing Chainsaw until around 1999. It had obviously aged but still very enjoyable. Poltergeist remains one of my favourite creepy movies of all time. That bloody clown...
Apart from TCM I think Ive only seen 2 other Tobe Hooper films, death trap aka eaten alive and fun house. Both are fairly run of the mill late 70s/early 80s horrors. I mustve seen poltergeist but cant remember...His whole reputation hangs on TCM basically, but fair enough.
read an interview yesterday where he says he didn't base it on the ed gein case... seems like everyone thought it was.

He also directed Salem's Lot which was very well received at the time. It's a bit hokey these days but was pretty decent and scary when it came out. David Soul, James Mason (he was great in this) and Geoffrey Lewis featured.

Sonny Landham..
I don't know if it was well known in UK, but he created many good covers for spanish Spectrum games.
An' you know what they said?
Well, some of it was true!
Rest in peace.
R.I.P.
I recognise a few of Alfonso's covers...like Nonamed, Abu Simbel and, obviously, Lorna!
Mot, based on another of his comics, looks like an interesting game...never played that one before as far as I can remember!

Poltergeist is one of my all time favourite movies. Strangely enough we just watched it on Saturday night too.
