    No change there then ;)
Last night Steve Pemberton and Reece Sheersmith broadcasted a live version of their horror comedy 'Inside No. 9' with typical live show type twists and wierdness. It was a bit like the old Ghostwatch prank but done with excellent scripts and style.

Because of the way the story went people were fooled, confirmed by their twitter feed and the actors wikipedia entries were updated to reflect that they had 'died' last night live on tv.

But it wasn't actually shown..???.... My wife n I were sitting watching when the sound f'd up and they had to say they'd play it at a later date... which sux as that's gonna f' up the prank... is not exactly 'live' and it probably won't be in time for Halloween....(and I'll probably miss it anyway)

  • It was shown, the whole point was; it was about the behind the scene / haunted studios, not the play they were putting on. It was all a hoax.

The only person I've seen die live on TV was Tommy Cooper. That wasn't a hoax.

The creepiest bit was the heavy breathing after he collapsed cos his microphone was still on, they closed the curtains but you could still see his huge feet sticking out.
They pushed compere Jimmy Tarbuck on stage to take us to an ad break.

  • Do you remember the hand coming out of the curtain to check his pulse?

Damn... Hardly ever watch 'live' TV, so we started watching it and turned it off when they said they'd have to show a repeat in its place... the prank worked 'too' well on us! And to think I was really **** off for them too! It's like the Paul Daniels drowning prank which traumatized half of us in the 80s... And I remember Tommy Cooper's live death too... So does my wife... Less channels meant TV was a shared experience for many... For good or bad.

Rest assured you weren't the only people to do that, quite a lot of people turned over. Its quite a common and not unexpected behaviour. I'm sure they knew this and still took the risk. It felt like part experiment, part homage. I only held on because:

    1. I'm a big fan of these guys and have learnt never to take anything they do at face value.
    2. I enjoyed the repeat they was 'going to show' and would have happily sat and watched that.

In September 2018 Fox added to his website the dates "1945–2018", although he was known to be alive (but unwell) after the dates were published.[24] Fox's actual passing from brain cancer was announced by his website and its associated mailing list on October 30, 2018.[25]

  • Its so creepy watching it again. I forgot how much everyone thought it was funny, being the person he was and the sort of silly jokes he would play on stage. Bizarre

Wow, I've not seen that since I saw it live in TV back in 1984. Yep, definitely creepy.

  • I reckon that's been edited a bit, thought it was quite a bit longer than that. Thought Jimmy Tarbuck appeared as well.

I heard that too, that Tarbuck came on, but I can't see him on stage when the title comes up and the applause starts, though it's difficult to tell from a distance.

I definitely remember him coming out from the side of the stage and saying "We'll be back after this break" (or something like that.

  • RIP Our gold fish. Gutted. Ok they're not celebs.

I put a pond together this summer and up to now it was very successful, the plants took got a couple of goldies and it even attracted a frog. Then last week we noticed a baby gold fish swimming around. Excitement in the luny household.

However last week I noticed a bloody Heron landed in the garden, so I shoo'd him away and thought must get a net. But me being me, I never did it straight away and left it.

This morning my eldest noticed the water was really low, so I said 'Right, lets get a plastic crate, move the fish and set up a temporary pond. Started emptying the pond and found no fish!

So from here on, I must not delay.

Feel bad for you, you didn't even have the opportunity to give them the send off they deserved by flushing them down the toilet...
