Change internals of RZX

Is there any tool that can replace game snapshot inside of RZX?
I'm trying to compile new binary, and for testing purposes need to "play" game from start to end.

P.S.
original and compiled binaries are compared byte by byte, I need to check if it is working when relocated.

  • rzxtool from the fuse-utils package can do that:
    NAME
rzxtool - Modify Sinclair ZX Spectrum input recording files

    SYNOPSIS
rzxtool [-dblock number] [-eblock number, filename] [-iblock num-
           ber,filename] [-u] rzxfile [outfile]

    DESCRIPTION
rzxtool allows some simple modifications to be made to Sinclair ZX
Spectrum input recording files: blocks can be removed, snapshot data
can be extracted or snapshots can be inserted into the file. The file
           can also be uncompressed.

  • Cool, thanks! Will try. :)
