Was there ever a name (even a fan boy one) for the baddie for the central cavern in Manic Miner?

If not what would you call it?

The instructions refer to 'mining robots' - I guess this was a clockwork one. But the hooter nose and big belly with a mouth in are clear influences from characters in the Yellow Submarine animated movie. Maybe he's a 'Yellow Meanie'..?

He's "You-Robot!", as adverse to i-Robot, from one of my unfinished and probably not likely to be finished ever now JSW remakes :))

Maybe one day I'll finish it off, it's been a WIP for about 12 years now :))

I quite like the clockwork mining robot sprite that is in JSW: Maria's Revenge (I think it is?).

There's one room which is like the Central Cavern - but decades later, all overgrown, dilapidated, and in disrepair - and the Mining Robot is sitting down, no longer working. It's a cool version of the central cavern - the same, but aged.

As far as mods go, it's nice to see classic rooms again with a slightly different spin on them! :)
