  • They were made by a sort of Dr. Frankenstein, definitely! :-O
  • If they are already damaged goods, then this is a great way of re-use.
Properly get taken by the hipsters and sold for thousands ;)

  • Love the ST MIDI synth - particularly because you could hook it up to a real ST via MIDI!

Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb!
Looking forward to summer in Somerset later in the year :)
  • Damn they look great! - I couldn't imagine doing anything so severe to my kit, but this is more like re-purposing I guess. It's cool to see the Speccy adapted and re-purposed in this way, we really only see severe audio mods like that on C64s. My ST still has the cellophane on the badge which enforces a mental barrier, meaning I don't want to mess with it at all. Sucks, 'cos it's only a 1/2 meg STFM - I'll probably just pack it away as a survivor (original box, manuals, leads and absolutely no sign of discolouring) and get a 4mb STE. My Speccy on the other hand has a few tweaks, audio input from motherboard, replaced tape deck with MP3, and jiggered the joystick ports to support standard sticks.
  • I miss my ST - its in heaven somewhere. Maybe with my original spectrum, whcih my dad used ad a garden orniment after I left home
