This is a seriously unstable and disturbed individual. I tried to listen to it but he sounds like a creationist who's just been converted by David Icke and has reacted by tightening his own knackers in a vice.
I'll be honest I watched the whole thing and it opened my eyes, or maybe my eyes were just being held open by the unusual headgear as doctors with pipettes occasionally lubed up my eyeballs.

I think the dodgiest part was when he was on about RCL and the IndieGoGo funding page. Saying stuff like that is just asking for a visit from Mr Legal Man!!!
Someone was talking **** about him (in a comment which has now been deleted) and someone else came to his defence and said something along the lines of "WHY ARE YOU TALKING LIKE THAT ABOUT SOMEONE IN A WHEELCHAIR?".
To that I can only say: if he is indeed in a wheelchair that is the least of his problems.
I did look at his page and list of other videos to see if there was a theme. I chose not to click on any more, particularly not the ones with images of klansmen and gollies in the previews.
Seems to be quite an audience for this sorta thing around these parts judging from the frequency of all these drama threads. You guys aren't trying to turn this place into some kinda department of the Russian 'scene' by any chance, or something?

He's been banned from many forums and some people think he's a bot as his posts simply spout garbage about 'converting video frames at 512K per second to SAM via Ethernet port 1B' and whatever else it says, it's always stuff about the SAM Coupe.

If i was a backer i would like to know the truth, and he seems to know some info there, and if the vega + does go down the swanny and backers loose money you might of wished you listened ?
He knows nothing apart from what he's been fed by Andrews. He has no contact at SMS. The fact is, there have been more updates on the Vega+ than there ever were for the Vega. Since Andrews "left", developers have been paid and the Vega+ has a decent management team.

I would like to know the truth as well but these all just seems like scaremongering rather than truth. I invested way before any of his rants so it makes no difference to me either way. Invested in the Uno as well and a lot of the recent retro books. So far my experience has been good with these kickstarters, the Spectrum book was great and the extras as part of the campaign amazing, and I hope this one continues that trend and the Vega+ gets made. Also hope the team continue to provide progress updates despite them getting shot down every time they do so far.
It doesn't help that ex sales people etc are providing their own version of facts, and there seems to be absolutely no evidence that the device is anything more than that 3D printed, cheap controller hack job we've seen. So after all this, what do backers actually know to be true? - that there is no evidence of the device beyond something that looks like a reasonable first project for a hobbyist. Put all the drama aside, and consider truthfully if you are happy with the way the Vita+ is looking. Frankly, I wouldn't be, based on the actual facts that are actually available and the lack of facts that should be available!
All we are hearing is that everything is fine, that the project is going great, that backers money is not wasted... need a bit more to go on than that, people have spent money and need reassurance that some renders and that 'thing' is not all that the Vita+ will ever be, and there is no actual evidence to prove that the situation is any better than that.
I don't want to get into the situation between WOS and George Bum, but come on, he isn't inventing these concerns, he's reacting to them - and the best defence here seems to be 'no, he's bad, everything is going great'... it's clearly not!
As Lee said, George knows nothing, he's being fed all the info and in doing so getting himself in a lot of trouble he really doesn't want to get involved in.
In being fed the info he's only getting the negative side and therefore presently a totally unbalanced (and incorrect) version of events.
First off, it's called the 'Vega+', not the 'Vita+'. If that's the extent to which you've researched the project, then you're not really in a position to be demanding more 'evidence'.
Next, they have a prototype working. And they've demonstrated it. Of course a 3D-printed case isn't going to look as good as an injection-moulded one. If you expect any differerent then you're deluded. And a small outfit like this is going to be ordering a production run of cases from somewhere else - they're not going to be building an injection-moulding factory of their own for these sorts of numbers. Again, if you don't understand how a business actually operates, don't try and pretend you know better.
And finally, the company has been giving feedback, and answering questions. There are some people who simply don't trust anything anyone says and are suspicious of everything. For some reason the more you tell them the less they believe. I generally find that people who demand the 'truth' really have little understanding of what the word means. But why would you trust the word of someone who has nothing to do with the project and is known to cause trouble and harrassment? What reason have you got for thinking they know anything more than you, just because they make more noise?
I get Vita and Vega mixed up all the time, not sure why, maybe something to do with the Vega looking exactly like the Vita from a distance. But this is the most important thing, you see the mistake I made was thinking this place had higher standards than YouTube, in terms of comments and defensive 'you idiot' posts. Seriously, is this salty attitude beneficial to the community in any way!
I'm well aware of production processes, I was a project engineer in the oil industry then a logistics coordinator in the semiconductor industry, I know how long it can take to develop and fabricate components, qualify materials, and all the other drama that goes with it - nothing has been said that makes me confident that its on track... in fact nothing much has been said except ''It'll look just like the renders'' - suspicious minds need more than that to go on, do you really think that all these concerns are unwarranted, statements fabricated, lack of evidence exaggerated? - to say it'll look like the renders usually requires some sort of idea that the parts will look like the renders - by looking at completed parts, test assemblies, prototyping, instead of just repeating that every time the question is raised and posting another pic of that worn out prototype.
I think the insane rants and spreading of outright lies by people who have no actual information and are only running off a shared paranoid fantasist view of the world are unwarranted, yes.
I've yet to see anything put forward that isn't the product of pure suspicion and speculation.
