Has anyone met him? I've always assumed this was some sort of weird persona he adopts and he's not actually like this in real life, with the odd voice and phrasing and extreme views.
I'm really surprised this thread has run so long, I really expected a response along the lines of "It's just George being OTT and stretching 'facts' for the purpose of entertainment". I can't quite believe so many here are so het up by the video. Seems to be mission accomplished for the trolls.
The issue here is not so much what George said but where he got the info from, he certainly didn't acquire it through his own investigative skills, he was fed it by someone who only wants to present his own version of the story.

Yes, but speculation tends to spawn from a lack of information. That's my whole point - shouldn't RC be able to rebuff these concerns adequately?
I don't think they are, I don't think this will ease up until RC posts evidence of something a bit more solid than their prototype. I mean, if they could post evidence of where they stand with production, then doubters would have a hard time arguing with that.
Myself, I don't think it'll look quite as polished as the design, but I don't think it'll be anything like that ugly prototype either, kinda on the equator on this one and am mostly just concerned about the impact if it does go sour... I mean if Vega+ fails, then it might put future Speccy and retro related kickstarters in jeopardy.
I'll be honest I watched the whole thing and it opened my eyes, or maybe my eyes were just being held open by the unusual headgear as doctors with pipettes occasionally lubed up my eyeballs.

That's how I feel too. I couldn't give a hoot as to what he's saying and what he is blaming people for - I don't care for ranting and conspiracies no matter where I encounter it...and I can't listen to him for long anyway because of this "weird persona" as you describe it. I hope to God he's either not like this in real life - or live among a bunch of weirdos who speaks just like him, because otherwise he stands out like a sore thumb...in a bad way.
And George - I know you'll read this, because you sent me a mail regarding some of my comment earlier in this thread, but the main reason I answered (a polite) 'no' to your request about releasing Vallation on physical cassette - is because I think you're a ranting weirdo (not a good combo) and I'm not interested in associating myself with you in any way. I'm honestly also a bit offended by the game presented at the top of your page - "Crapbert Buttslut" (sorry Yerzmyey). That name could do with a namechange, which of course isn't up to you, but it's not company I need or want. So your shop is not for me - but good luck with it anyway.
