New game editor: Sir Lancelot.

I worked on this earlier this year but lost interest before I was completely done with it.
Still, all the important things work ;)
So now I'm sharing it with you - perhaps someone out there wants to edit the game.

You can edit the location of platforms, items, enemies, ladders, start position and exit.

I also wanted to add editing the bitmap images of the platforms, items and enemies...but I couldn't be arsed when it came to it.

Never mind the jerky movement of the enemies in the editor. It was a bit of a rush job - it looks the way it should in-game.

When you exit the editor a TAP file is generated in the same folder. Just run it to see your changes.
If the TAP file is still present when you start the editor again it'll be loaded and you can continue editing.
There's no undo function. To start over just delete the TAP file.

Have fun. :)

  • This is very cool.

Very quick to learn, and produce a working TAP. Shame the graphics can't be altered, but that's the easier part for the user to hack.

Yeah, I wanted to do that as well, but ran out of ...enthusiasm first. ;)
If I was going to replace the graphics I'd just use SGE and edit directly in that, so there *is* a way to do it which isn't too difficult.
