My first attempt at writing a ZX Spectrum game in AGD: Cybermania, a kind of cross between Robotron, Berzerk and Pac-Man! Hopefully it'll provide a bit of fun. Controls are QAOP to move, Z for Phase Shield (temporary invincibility).
looks good but needs to move the player to go in to the nearest corridor
so if you are right of a corridor but not lined up
pressing left should move you up if you are too far down
The isometric games like Head over Heels did this.
I disagree. You can head down, then press for diagonal (additional left or right) when you get near the exit you want (ala Pacman). This is more traditional for a maze game. It works well.
Some nice detail in the game, like the death pixels.
I like this too... I prefer simpler games when it comes to the Speccy - it's what it does best.... I'm more likely to keep playing games like this as high score challenges.

Not crazy about the Z key being the action key though. Space or M (or both) would be better.
My games for the Spectrum: Dingo, The Speccies, The Speccies 2, Vallation, SQIJ.

Great name for a band!
Hey, yeah. But what style would they play?
