    ...just getting through an interview!!

I wanna tell you a story 'bout a woman I know...
  • well, i'd only been home 5 minutes and they rang lol, didnt get it :( feedback said the science technician was happy with my titrating / dilution test i had to do, but sadly apparently, even tho they were nodding and seemed happy with all my answers during the interview, somebody scored higher.
Probably somebody who knows all the pc **** about school work etc but no real world experience about the actual job of science tech lol

I hope the tie was a clip on, judging on the nature of the job I had to wear a clip on just in case anyone decided to grab it !

i asked about that in the interview, apparently all the men wear normal ties, its never happened and they treat all the kids as equals so theres nothing to say you have to wear a clip on.

anyway tommorow gonna apply for a warehousing job, just across the road where i used to work lol, again got plenty of experience with stock ordering, rotating, hoying onto the shelves, pallet moving etc

You do look a little like a funeral director, perhaps you should give it a try !

    I did !

I even went for a job as a Dolphin trainer, when they asked about my swimming qualifications, I told them that I can't swim, don't know why I didn't get that one !

Very rarely got any pretty clients, mostly old people !

Although nowadays Undertakers are almost all part of an American conglomeration, in my days, we handmade the coffins, now you just order a number 7B or whatever and it arrives next day. They are also ready to use, so even the nice job of lining and finshing them has gone. As for them trying to pressure people for brass handles for a Cremation, forget it, they are taken off before they are cremated and recycled as brass handles for the next sucker to buy and the next, etc.

  • That pic of you is EPIC, MtB. And I have a question for you, just between the two of us ... have you lost a bit of weight in the last decade or so?
    What now?
  • They are sneaky bleeders, lay people off, then take them back for temp work, they should be stopped from messing about with people. Although it is good that you have some work lined up, it probably will turn in to a longer stint, they know what they are doing, it would serve them right if everyone had already got new jobs. They have a pool of fully trained and experienced workers that they can count on whenever they desire, instead of having to train someone to do even the basics. Good luck anyway !

  • I'm in a pretty good mood today. Granted, I've been without a job for almost 2 months - which isn't a dance on roses, but I went to a job interview yesterday and another one today ...and they both got back to me today and said they'd like to see me for a second interview next week. That doesn't equal a new job though, but it does sound promising :)
