Don't know how many people remember this..
I was only 3 at the time.. ITV went off the air for 8 weeks in 1979 due to industrial action. I remember being really upset about it back in the day as I was a little kid and couldn't watch my favourite shows. My Mum was all upset about Coronation Street not being on as well.
I still remember the blue screen being on all the time saying that ITV was off the air due to industrial action (although I'm not sure how many of those words I understood being 3). I remember that we still put it on when there was nothing on BBC because my Dad liked the music they played.
