So I played this a fair bit back in the day and I've got a soft spot for it.

I'm trying to load the .tap file in Spectaculator - I get the STOP THE TAPE bit, skip instructions, Press any key on START THE TAPE and the loading screen appears. After that the game doesn't start. The TZX file simply crashes.

Any ideas folks? Cheers.

Load the game at normal speed, i.e. without acceleration. I tried the TZX and it loaded successfully.

I am running it at normal speed, the TAP file loads up, but I cannot get the game to start! The TZX file simply crashes (I'm running in std 48K mode). Weird.

There's some form of copy protection on it so I think only the TZX will actually load (without Fast Loading switched on) because it has the tones at the end that the game is looking for. Without them the game will just freeze.

I'm pretty sure the TAP is actually useless because it's missing them and probably won't work on any emulator without some sort of hacking / POKEing etc.
