Barbarian vs Barbarian II (Palace) - Which Is Best?

Hi everyone and welcome to the November 2017 edition of the Which Is Best?
Last month I placed Nebulus and Nebulus 2 against each other, I can now reveal Nebulus 1 stormed it by 14 votes to 2, not many voted this time, maybe it's because these games can seriously drive you mad especially the first one and for many they would rather forget the pains of these games lol,...dunno why though, I myself can complete Neb1 with just one life :-D

This month I'm going to place the two Barbarian games against each other,...The Ultimate Warrior and The Dungeon Of Drax, which do you think is the better game?!, only your votes will determine that,...happy voting! :-D

Having played both quite a bit back in the day, I can say I much preferred Barbarian over Barbarian 2...

But then I haven't really played Barabrian 2 on anything other than Speccy and C64 though, so if I play it on Amiga maybe that will change my mind?

Barbarian 1 easily. The only improvement 2 made was you got a better view of Maria Whittaker's jugs on the inlay 8-}

Barbarian, over Barbarian 2.

The first game was a novel and violent fighter, and was actually damn good fun to play, it also had a nice bit of polish, like the little gremlin fella kicking the severed head of your enemy off the screen. I liked the idea of Barbarian 2 an adventure with a variety of enemies, and 2 characters to play as, but the move set was cut down, the collision especially when near the pits was awful, it was way too easy to die, navigating the map was a nightmare. All in all it ended up being a game I really, really wanted to like, but ended up leaving me cold.

I still fire it up to "try", and like it, and there's no denying it was quite an impressive feat what they did achieve, but no first game for me.
