Pro Ace/Micro Ace Joysticks - how are they?
Dear WOS,
After suffering one case of sore thumbs too many on my Suncom TAC-2, I'd like to move on to something a little more... clicky. I've disregarded the Competition Pro series of joysticks, as they are a little too ubiquitous and there are multiple variants - leaf-switch, microswitch, hybrid, autofire/slow motion, some with crap microswitches, etc - it's like a bloody Kalashnikov, it's been copied so many times.
What I am looking at is the Euromax series of Pro Ace or even Micro Ace (a microswitched version of the PA with a red stick instead of black) joysticks, which look like they were based on Suzo's "The Arcade" with a slightly more conventional-looking base and a rectangular fire button (not sure if the button on the Micro Ace is microswitched or not) - see image below:

What are they like (if they suck, then I'll just get a "The Arcade" and have done with it)?
Yours sincerely,
S.

Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb!
Looking forward to summer in Somerset later in the year :)
But that does look like a solid joystick, if it has good microswitches then you might be onto a winner. One option that might be cheaper is The Cruiser - absolutely terrible microswitches, but easy to replace with better ones, then it becomes a really nice joystick instead of just overrated.
