    Loving the sellers notes:-

“These have been store in dry air tight really useful boxes, and the pictures should give all the needed information, none of these have been tested, but assumed to be working, these are collector grade, and thus no returns, sold as seen.”

    Features:-

    1) stored in really useful boxes - what does a really useful box offer that a non-really useful box doesn't?
    2) the pictures should give all the needed information - except one piece of information-does it bloody work?
    3) none of these have been tested-yet with a straight face, ask for that much?? Oh .. lazy?
    4) these are collector grade, and thus no returns, sold as seen - I would have though that would be enough to offer the customer some form of guarantee. Collector grade surely must mean fully functional and in great condition.

I can understand wanting to get as much as you can for a rare game. But this kind of stuff can't be good for the retro collecting world. Greed without responsibility.

Really useful boxes is a brand name, they are expensive, some are made from extra strong plastic, these are the ones I use for my LP and record storage. The downside is that they are NOT airtight, which would be nice, they keep things clean and safe, but no extra advantage to other boxes. I have a couple of hundred of them and have used them for years, so am very familiar with them.

Lol.So they do exist. Thought it was some kind of cheesy thing. They are very expensive though. I would recommend Wilko:- wilko.com/icat/plastic-storage

  • Do most people think "sealed" means "new"? A seller can easily seal something again to make it look brand new. Anyone can buy a roll of the stuff and a heatgun.

They are expensive but are so strong that they can be stacked up to the ceiling without fear of damage or collapse,
even with LPs in them. The secret with them is, find out who is selling them, work out the size you want, compare the prices and look out for special offers from places like Argos, they often offer 3 for two prices on them and also deliver same day for a couple of quid !

You can also get them at Wicks ( although not cheap )
    Robert Dyas.
    Argos
Staples ( although I think they went broke )
Homebase ( Usually summer time )

That's up there with "in mint condition". And of course the god send for dodgy sellers that is "spares and repairs", but still asking a starting bid of a premium price.

If it is LPs you would probably need the 35 Ltr XL strong white with an extra deep lid, and the 18Ltr strong white with extra deep lid, that's what I use. You will have to order direct from the wharehouse as they are non standard.

The 35 Ltr XL in normal strength is £ 12.34
The 18 Ltr XL in normal strength is £ 9.23

They don't seem to have the extra strong ones in stock at the moment, these are far stronger, as the normal boxes can be damaged more easily.
