You want to read this. Oh yes you do.

1) Go to http://www.livepublishing.co.uk/retro/retro9.shtml

2) Read to the very bottom.

3) Faint. Or hyperventilate. Or feel an odd sense of arousal. Or all three.

This looks seriously brilliant...

I would love to subscribe, but over 50 quid seems a bit steep.

    UK and subscriber copies

I read that to mean copies sold in the UK and copies sent to subscribers, not UK subscribers. Of course logical statements and English do not always mix that well.
  • edited October 2004
I hope I can buy it in shops. I'm way too tight to subscribe.
  • edited October 2004
Phoo, I hope so... that statement had me wondering and hoping that I`d read it correctly, as Im not a subscriber.

Bugger, bugger, bugger! And I won't be able to get it!
Anyone in the UK care to buy me a copy and send it out? I'll pay for the mag and airmail shipping!
  • edited October 2004
    Wow, sounds incredible.

(I won't even start an argument about "number one for Spectrum games"...)

Well it's got to be pretty easy to claim that now - being the ONLY one :D

That looks really cool!!! I really really hope the supplement will make it over here. Do you think it will?

    Necros.
  • edited October 2004
    From the above, no.

I've not bought an issue of this mag yet, but I'll be buying this one just for the issue of YS.

Does this mean Mort's scans will have to be updated?

Sure thing Malcolm, seeing as you asked so nicely. I'll let you know when I get hold of a copy for each of us, and we can arrange things then.

Because that's the kind of guy I am. :)

They may very well make an exception for Ireland - I can't remember having any problems with UK only magazine gifts when I lived in Dublin.
Still, if you don't get it you can always drive the four hours or so from Kilkenny to Belfast and buy your copy there!

Woohoo! Thanks Matt! I will, of course, cover all packaging costs as well. PM me once the mag comes out and we can arrange things.

You know you can order a copy on the Live Publishing website? ?5.99 + ?1 p&p. If you live outside the UK, postage is ?2.

There is no reason (apart from it selling out) why you can't get this mag :)

'The suppliment is actually on all copies for sale in the UK. Every subscriber, regardless of where they are in the world, will also get the free YS magazine.'

That's from the Retrogamer messageboard. Hope that clears up any confusion! :)

Heehee... I knew about this for weeks, but I was sworn to secrecy :)

You know, I never even thought about that, even though that was the way I bought the first 4 issues of the mag! I guess that's the way to go then (as long as they actually send me one with the free YS supplement in it!)
