Mole Rat - Targ Edition
I've always had a soft spot for the minimalist arcade game Targ (the granddaddy of Geometry Wars Waves), which never got an official home conversion and no decent unofficial one either.
So I was tickled pink when I found out a couple of years back about Dave Hughes' spiffy Mole Rat, by far the closest anything's ever come to it.
But it always made me sad that he'd "de-Targed" it for some reason by tweaking the graphics to be creepy-crawlies instead of cool spaceships and, worst of all, changing the colours of the maze blocks so it didn't quite feel like Targ.
So with many thanks and all credit to colour wizard Pgyuri of this parish, we present Mole Rat - Targ Edition.
It's just a colour mod atm, with the right colours for the maze blocks, player ship and "Spectar Smuggler" bonus enemy. We're currently figuring out how to also return the graphics to proper Targ. But for now, enjoy.
