So this year I treated myself to a new ErgoDox EZ Glow keyboard. For anyone not familiar with the keyboard its a split keyboard for developers and is highly customisable. One advantage is, it has layers. Like the standard modifier keys you can create you own modifiers and map all the keys to switch round or send macros, when the modifier is oressed. So one funky use I have found for layers is to create a Spectrum mapping. So I've mapped all the keys used by the emulator to be in the position I expect them to be on the Spectrum, such as the Symbol Shift and Space on the right, etc.
