It's that time of year again...

.. but the ORSAM show in Norwich, this coming Saturday.

Judging by the list of exhibitors this looks like being a much bigger event than last year which is very good news. It's not exactly CGE UK, but let's hope ORSAM establishes itself as the Sinclair scene's other big day out.

For my part I've foolishly volunteered to attempt to write a Spectrum game during the course of the show, which ought to be good for a laugh.

It's seeming to be a bit early in the day.
Is anyone going down on Friday and staying over?
I don't think I can get from Brighton to Norwich before 4:00pm ;)

Any recommendations as a place for 8-bitters to stay over the weekend?

Hope you manage to get there before 3 PM, or you could be in a bit of a rush :)

It`s a pity that someone couldn`t make some clips from the show, so that the people who can`t get there could `experience` it a bit.

Hope you all have a jolly good day *_+

Does anyone know if Colin (Quazar) was showing his interesting Sam appendage? And if so, if there was anything vaguely clown-shaped on the screen?

Yes, Colin had a very nice appendage indeed - and that certain Clown also looked extremely swish!

I stuck a few odd Spectrum books in the box as well - hope they came in handy. (I saw the very pleased look when I passed my old ZX81 manual to the ZX81 seller as well :)

It was announced at about 12.45 :)

Info about the 'Mayhem Accelerator' (which is still a work-in-progress' will be up on the website sometime, as well in Sam Revival issues 11 and 12)

    Hi guys

Good to see everyone there old faces and new.

We made it back home - just with our windscreen cracked twice from top to bottom!

Had a laugh and checked out the pic of me, and safe to say I look bad :))

Hope it carries on next year, had a good day and a big thanks to everyone that visited our stall and played the games and stopped by for a chat - just a pity we didn't get Shuan's CodeMaster's CD collecion (yes CD) for the spectrum, as never saw one in the day and would love to have gt it running!

    Greetings folks,

The OrSam was great. Very well organised and attended for the size of the show. Hi to everyone I saw there.

Just to say that I have the CodeMasters CD Rom pack working in the office now. It's running from a Plus 2 with both Sinclair and Kempston joystick inputs. If only it would work on the day!

Barry (Retro Passions), if you are reading this then please get in touch. ;)

    Regards,

    Shaun.

While at the Show I lost my wallet !!!
[ properly dropped it while writing a cheque for my new sam disk drive]

Someone gave it in to Bethal Street Police station - A BIG THANKYOU !!

No there was no money in it! As I do not carry any cash! But still, my faith my human kind has been restored, along with my Sam and QL thanks to the show!

No, sorry Pics of me are very rare. My wife saw a lakeland plastics shop on the way in, So I think I was being dragged around there when the photos were being taken.
