  • Uh oh I fear the WHO or CDC are about to be accused of homophobia! Reading up about it it says the clusters for the outbreak include people who self identify as men who have sex with men!

Looks like Starbucks could be about to have their windows peacefully broken again :))
    Every night is curry night!
  • There's more cases confirmed today.

I never knew about this link to mano a mano behaviour til Boozy mentioned it. I thought it just picked on random folks. Hmm. even so. Better stock up on bog rolls and polythene bags of gas incase things get more poxy..than they are.

    that's Orang Utan pox. :)

Well...lessee. So far. NHS medical services are 'stretched' due to staff self isolating.. Sweden has declared it a dangerous threat status. Meaning they can impose restrictions. It's very soon gonna start to be familiar. Also, some people are saying it's a silent K in the word Monkey in this pox.

  • From what I've read, Monkey Pox is not in the least bit dangerous. Some of the pictures you could have seen might look dramatic, but in reality it's usually no more than an irritable rash for a couple of weeks, no worse than chicken pox.

There have been small outbreaks before outside Africa, but they've never amounted to much. You'd have to say that if Covid-19 had never happened this wouldn't even have made the news anywhere....
  • Stay away from monkeys then. Shouldn't be too hard.

I used to think that, but then I saw his face. Now I'm a believer.

  • Well, on my side of the Channel, they have declared Monkey Pox as an important disease to look out for. There are now also some people infected on the Mainland Europe now.

It's not as easily spread as other viruses but still worth stopping before it gets too widespread.

Also, according to the news there is a vaccine for it, but the vaccine's only effective if you get it within a few days after infection.

Two rave parties held in Spain and Belgium caused this outbreak?

Summer hasn't even begun, I wonder how the world will be by the end of it!
