For a great flashy Advent calendar featuring many of the great Speccy classics and more :)

3 days already over... worth checking each day if you ask me :)

Oh, you have to click on the last day to open it, previous ones open by themselves...

Best regards,
Tomaz

Lovely! I thought they were just ordinary screenshots but they've been nicely Xmas-ized.

Yes! :) We went to great lengths to give them genuine xmas feeling. Some of us succeeded, some failed. I think the best one is gonna be on 24th, altough today's is not bad at all ;)

I love the one for today (the 17th), even though it's obviously* based on a grab from the CPC version of the game, rather than the Speccy version! :)

*"Obviously", that is, to someone (me) who's played both, of course!? I prefer the CPC version of that game -- in Speccy monochrome, I can't make out what's going on. :(
I never make misteaks mistrakes misyales errurs — oh, sod it.

Wow, that`s gotta be the best Advent Calendar ever... Nice one Tomaz :)

Pleased to see you guys included Renegade, and Dizzy and family look soo cute with their Christmas party hats on..

Is their any way you could make it downloadable after Christmas, into an .exe, or whatever way.. I`d love to keep it :)

Thanx! The Advent Calendar was actually coded (in Flash) and designed by Pierre, the 24 pictures inside were done by different Retrospec members, some did many (like Graham) and some only one or two (like me ;) ). So it was a joint effort but lead by Pierre :) Looking forward for next years already...

    P.s.

I will ask Pierre if there is a possibility of a slightly changed off-line version which will let you open all doors manually or something similar :)

Ok, Pierre and Neil arranged for the Calendars of this and last year to be put into the archives over at retrospec, so if anyone wants to see how crappy last years calendar looked compared to this years they are welcome :)

If you want to download the 2004 Flash version for offline viewing then you can do so here :

    http://retrospec.sgn.net/christmas/2004/advent_calendar.swf

(for some reason it displays zoomed out in my browser, but then again I have no idea what I am doing ;))

    Best regards,

    hello,
it's zoomed out because the html wrapper around the flash file does all the positioning and date selection - hence why all the doors are shut as well - and you have just included the flash file :)

Just right-click/zoomin to view normal size if you want.

    Neil.
