OT: Ultra Assault
This has nothing to do with Spectrum, but I thought some members (with itchy trigger fingers) might be interested all the same.
Ultra Assault is a "retro style" vertically scrolling shoot-em-up for the PC, available by download (you need to buy a key to unlock the full-version).
You'll need a fairly powerful PC and and half decent graphics card to play it, and the download is about 20 Meg, but it really is worth checking out.

Besides, Spectaculator is the next on my list of shareware buys (I recorded my rzx with a trial installation while it lasted. Hope that was ok).
For those who are interested in the games of that class, I will also mention Stayfire, Ploing 2, Brainwave and Jumpstar from Dexterity software.
edit: oops, just been to Dexterity swebsite and they have dropped publishing all arcade shooters xcept of their own production. Well, hope those games can still be found somewhere else.
