Looney Toons -> Loonatics

edited March 2005 in Chit chat
Well, it's been confirmed ... they have actually "updated" the Looney Toons characters:

Even though they may look cool, it is still a sad day and IMHO ruins the reputation of the originals.

    Is it me or have they made Bugs, Daffy and Road Runner also look incredibly evil?

    "Bugs Bunny and his pals are shown updated for the future. The characters' descendants, Buzz Bunny and the like, will be superhero action figures for a cartoon set in the year 2772."

    looks naff but sounds like its just for a series, rather than all together :)

    Yeah, I know it's for a series. The thing though is that there has been a "rumour" that they are going to keep these characters more in the forefront aside from the series.

    Yeah, I don't like those hollow eyes, and the characters are too much accentuated ... like they are stick figures ... ah, well.

    @Foebane

    :lol:

    God of Despair :D

    I hate the look of those new "versions".

    Utter bollocks.

    There's no real difference to them anymore - they don't have an individual style and look.

    Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
    I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

    Oh dear. What a mistake. Talk about looking crap.

    I concur. Wot happened to cuteness and lovely bright colours?

    Is this really the kind of look that kids of today will enjoy or is it just another marketing gimmick (rhetorical question)?

    Michael Garibaldi and I would NEVER approve of this!!

    Yet more indications of our shared interest in magazines such as SFX and the programmes that it covers... Probably only you and I know what you're referring to there. So you probably also know the answer to this...

    "What do you want?"

    Erm, Babylon 5 is not Star Trek, it actually has a plotline for starters ;)

    Hey now! ... Star Trek (TNG and the rest) built a continous plotline over the years. The original series may have been without an actual plot through and through.
