It sure does - Prestwick Airport have used it as their new slogan. Just what we need to highlight the fact that we live close to the NED capital of Scotland (Glasgow)!

I was gonna ask what a Ned was, but looking at that picture I think it's pretty obvious.

    Are they worse than Chavs?

Ahhh ... well ... it's a bit bettern than how Las Vegas has been advertising themselves "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" ... they are basically capitalising on the idea that they truly are Sin City.

Non-educated delinquents (NEDs) are on the same level as Chavs, if I understand the term correctly?

I was under the impreesion that a Chav was one of those hooligans who pimp out their cars and were just general noisemakers ... kind of like the Ali G character?

And for my 1000th post, a description of a Chav, from the following website:

    http://www.chavworld.co.uk/chav.htm
    What is a Chav?

'chav' (slang) - a young person, often without a high level of education, who follows a particular fashion; Chavs usually wear designer labels including the chav favourite 'Burberry', and if they?re girls, very short skirts, large hoop earrings and stilettos.

Chavs see branded baseball caps as a status symbol and wear them at every opportunity. Normally found hanging around shopping centres.

Also known as Townies, Kevs, Hood Rats, Charvers, Steeks, Stigs, Bazzas, Yarcos, Ratboys, Chorer, Skangers, Scutters, Janners, Kappa Slappers, Scallies, and Spides. Also known as Neds in Scotland, knackers & skangers in Ireland, and Guidos in the USA

What a waste of a milestone!

Chav (or Charver) is the English equivalent of Ned.

But they share the same qualities - the love for Burberry, bleached-blonde 16 year olds with kids, Argos jewellery and one brain cell betwen the entire squad.
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

Without any education is the best way to describe them.
