Peggy Mitchell poor little fingers

edited October 2005 in Chit chat
Was it wrong of my to laugh tonight when Peggy Mitchell got her fingers mashed in the door by Eastenders' resident gangster?

The way he led her down the garden path with a sob story and then smashed her hand in the door, and the way his open, fake-honest visage swiftly turned into one of demonic menace as yanked on the door just made me laugh out loud.

I know it's not right...but it certainly cheered me up! :)

It could be worse, she could be forced to watch Eastenders. :)

Personally I'd rather have my fingers mashed in a door any day.

    Necros.

Eastenders has sucked for a while now.
But it should be all good again when the
    Mitchell brothers return next week.

And Johnny crushing Peggys fingers in the
    door made me laugh too.

The soaps are only worth wathching for these moments.

EastEnders is violence, Corrie is for the comedy value.

99.99% of the time they are absolute shite. That 0.01% makes it worth it.

Witness tonight with the "fingers" episode on BBC1 and Bradley Walsh's Lekbowensa without a 'tache to the shemale (how the hell do you spell that, the Lekbowensa crap) comment on ITV.

I could not agree more. It's chinese torture. I thought cockneys were a happy cheeky chappy bunch, but its seems not. 20 years of depressing gloom and dark sets, maketh not for happy bunnies.

How come no one on Eastenders ever says

"I can't come down the vic now, I don't wanna miss Corrie?"

    Confession time.

I used to watch it when Grant was still in the show. At the time I thought it was interesting, because it reminded me of The Krays. Well it was about ten years ago and I was young and stupid.

Now I'm older but still as stupid ...

Grant was a good character in comparison to the rest of them though.

I can't wait to see the return of Fill and Grunt next week either.

Saw a pic of Grunt shoving young-boxer-dude-that-shagged-Sharon up against a piano. I think he gives him a right good pasting too.

    :)

    Quality TV.

I reckon Grant was one of the better characters in Eastenders too.

A few years back, I was in a club called "The Kitchen" in Dublin(it's Bono's) and Grant Mitchel(?realname?) walked right into the middle of the chill out room.
Looking around you could see person after person nudge their mate followed by lots of laughter cos he's absolutely fuckin tiny in real life!!!
I mean REALLY TINY. So, erm. Oh yeah - that made me laugh out loud  quite a lot.
    ASpec.

I dont mind Eastenders at all, watched that on/off for years.

I found it a brilliant medicine. eg...

Years ago if i had a huge hangover, had a crap weekend, got blown out by some lass or i was totally skint and fed up with work i would turn on Eastenders.

30 mins later i felt like things werent that bad. Whenever i'm on a 'downer' i tune into Eastenders and it cheers me up !

Also living up north i watch it with subtitles nowadays so i can repeat what they say to keep my 'dan 'saff accent !
