    OOO..

I've only got the one pair of proper long thigh boots these days, in soft brown butter soft leather. Not as jazzy as them guys outfits, but then I am bordering on getting older now and have to tone it down, plus I no longer have a hankering to be on the stage. :)
Martin Degvilles older, and still wears his lol

  • Save Our Squad with David Beckham on Disney. Thoroughly.enjoyed it and it brought back so many memories of 35+ years ago. I was one of those kids who lived and breathed football with my team mates. The same doubts and fears going through their heads went through mine. Hopefully they can realise their talent rather than waste it like I did.

Becks seems like a thoroughly nice bloke too. Much more normal than I expected.

I hope you are keeping a running "like" and "y'know" count cos that's what he used to say in between like every y'know word in like y'know interviews.

  • He seems to have grown up and become a functional adult who kids can look up to. I'd take the piss like you have usually but he really gives those kids something to achieve.

Well I wouldn't want to marry a woman who can't sing and only does pointing mysteriously ;)

I don't have an issue about Beckham he seems a nice guy as you say unless he's scoring against Everton. West Ham fans may disagree IIRC.

EDIT: He did used to come across as a bit of a thicko though tbh

  • Nothing wrong with pointing mysteriously.. I does it all the time. Likes to pretend I'm on a Roxy Music album cover.

Well, he's all giving it .. oh look at me in the ordinary queue for the queen's kist. Oh, I am salt of earth with my cloth capped ordinary ways. I say...REALLY? So, what was all this golden thrones with plush velvet and monstrous carbuncles all over it then( I ain't talking about posh spice). Wasn't that long ago when he was big head central. Fergie did the RIGHT thing and threw a boot at his head. I couldn't believe anyone could have such a giant ego ..but I was looking at it so I guess I had to! Image management. That's all it is. However, I will defend the mysterious pointing. :)

Except AElita of course she seems cool
  • As soon as you diss mysterious pointing people they all show up at once, pointing at you, mysteriously.

  • Not really commented on the competition so far but I enjoyed the Saudi's beating a hopeless Argentina.

But I enjoyed England's match even more. Stuff the USA 3-0 and play a weakened side against Wales - who we'll probably still beat. Wales will be up for it and flying in - no point risking our best players.

Anyone else noticed how most matches have been played like a Premiership match so far? End-to-end, full throttle stuff with tackles flying in. Been pretty great so far.
  • I think the players are fresher than normal. Should play it in winter next every time. I was enjoying it until Spain. Spain send me to sleep something bad. They go down like a pack of cards so that everyone is frightened to go near them ..then they pass more or less straight into goal unchallenged. It's effective, but it bores me entirely. Was good to see the Krauts get stuffed though.

  • England are playing Wales next week. That'll be a good match.

I honestly haven't a clue who this is referring to...
  • Probably England?

XTM of TMG, your team took one hell of a beating the other day though ;) If they lost the next game they are out

Hehe. It's the whole of Britain, ya bunch of Monkeys!

Well, last night I went to a variety show at a theatre. Since I never got to see Kevin Bloody Wilson, this was much better. It were disadvantaged kids and disabled kids doing it. Was ace. I bought tons of raffle tickets cause I wanted that furry covered hot water bottle..but I never got it! It did my heart good to see all these kids giving their all. There was a big choir of sign language people using the sign language to annonate some song about hope and standing proud. Was all very moving. You can keep all these trashy movies and ultra violence in Japan. A full hall and watching these kids was such an emotional ride. Everyone sang Auld Lang Syne at the end. Bloody marvellous.

I'd take the ultra violence that is only in movies anyway in tandem with an extremely safe environment over some of the knife crime ridden shitholes in Europe (not necessarily in the EU if you get my drift) any day ;)

  • I’ve just started watching the TV series (not watched the original web series yet) of Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared. I’ve watched ‘Job’ and ‘Death’ so far.

It’s effin’ brilliant! Like a surreal adult Sesame Street with hints of Salad Fingers. It’s just bizarre, creepy and amusing and has a brilliant atmosphere and range of animation styles and live action/puppetry.

3 bars in past the vibrator, and it’s shite already! Surprised they put their Smirnoff bottles down long enough to remember how to play their instruments ;)

That's the first time I've heard that opinion in, what is it now, 26 years? The original Ben Chaplin version of Matt was the one who joined Pro-Active, who are the dictionary definition of "delusions of grandeur".

At least they made a pointed reference to the change of actor.
  • I think it might depend on when you first caught it. I didn't until season 2 first aired and I didn't get around to watching season 1 until earlier this year. I preferred Neil Stuke's performance. Season 1 is still very, very funny though.
