A Sci-fi short called The Gift by Carl Rinsch - this version has ELO's song Secret Messages, which wasn't in the original short.
Cool video, reminds me a lof of Half-Life 2 ...
I've been watching this travelling guy for quite a while now, he's from Scotland (and said he was born in Cumbernauld so you'd feel right at home with his accent @zx1) ... fairly relaxing for me to watch his stuff as he doesn't try to be cool or anything.
I'd missed a couple of episodes as been busy. So caught up with episodes 4 and 5 last night. Nice to have some more exposition regarding Sam and Henry - I don't think it's hinted at in the game why they're trying to get out of the city other than to simply get out.
I'm guessing episode 6 will be the Tommy episode. And 7 will be the college - can't wait for that one.
This week I finally got round to watching the first 6 episodes of Star Wars series Andor.
And really good it is too! It probably benefits most from being the least Star Wars-ey thing that's ever come out of the franchise. It's really gritty and grimy, and reminds me a lot of the Firefly series (ended too soon) - what it would really be like on the outer rim in the future where lots of different worlds are just trying to get by.
Of course, being part of Star Wars means that when great effects and sets are required, they really look the part. But I like the way that Cassian is not always the main star of the show. Often, he's just a protagonist in the story who is carrying us along for the ride, which is a refreshing contrast to the hero-centric Mandalorian and Boba Fett series.
And I love the director's care and dedicated writing that's been afforded to the whole cast of characters. Many of them won't persist beyond the few scenes they've had, but the depth and background they're given means that they all contribute to a rich and believable world that you want to invest in.
I'm looking forward to binge-ing on the rest of the series, and despite wanting more, I'm surprised that there is a season 2 in the works. It could have worked well as a one-off series standing on it's own merits, much like the Rogue One movie did. But I hope there's scope for more of the same in store, rather than it trying too hard to predictably merge in to all the other Star Wars story lines.....
A walkthrough of Drunken masters JSW games (Bugfixed lol)
They fixed the bugs but left in "Theived" LOL ;)
Could boozy still do that kind of thing today though if he was arsed or is he past it ;)
EDIT: I'm assuming he knows how to spell thieved correctly now though
You know what’s funny in the 20 years I never even noticed that typo :))
Mind you I’m not gonna lie around the time I made those games I was on so many drugs I could barely spell my own name never mind thieved :))
As for wether I could do it probably as to wether I can be arsed, that’s a big factor. Some of the newer JSW authors are doing stuff with their games way beyond anything I could now.
To say I’ve fallen out of the loop is unfortunately something of an understatement…
I saw new episodes of Beavis & Butthead were going live around aout now....But I'm not even bothered given how much has been consored from the older episodes in the last 15 years or so.
Butthead calling Beavis a Fartknocker removed an entire episode from the backlog....The Phone sex episode even cut out the bit where Butthead says "I think I just enonclulated", and that was cut out before WOKEness was the norm way back in 2010 or whenever the Mike Judge collection came out! If the guy who created the show removed several of the parts that made it funny back then, as early as 2010, imagine how surgically unfunny it is now!
The enoculated joke even if it hadn't been removed then would certainly be removed now because of pharmaceutical companies, and COVID no doubt, because it might be seen as aggressively negative to the medical norm, and "SAFETY" to the vaccine, and those that spend their whole lives crying about it on Tw@tter. Whilst ignoring those companies completely heinous behaviour since the "Pandemic" started.
Well watched episode 6 of TLOU I liked it, but I'm not sure how much I like how much of the story they squashed into one episode to be honest.. OK they didn't drag it out with constant corridor crawling, and fights between the infected, and the raiders, but I'll be honest Joel's "injury" is actually a little more believable in this situation than in the game, suppose I have to remember there's no healing items in a TV show :))
If this has gone to this point by now it basically means Ellie's encounter with David is pretty much going to be episode 7....I want to see how they handle it, becaue it's going to be gritty, and unpleasant.
Not seen it yet but I guess they've pretty much skated through the college? I can understand that as the level was mostly just searching for upgradables and picking off the raiders.
David is going to be an interesting episode. I wonder how much of the ending of that we're going to see plus Joel on the warpath? As you said. Unpleasant.
This week I finally got round to watching the first 6 episodes of Star Wars series Andor.
And really good it is too!
That's where I'm at, I'm finding it a bit of a drag. We could have skipped a lot of the first three episodes and the pace is very slow even for the 'good' bits in the episodes that followed.
I'm hoping there'll be a fan edit that chops it down to a decent movie or two, there's so much padding there's no need for as many episodes. Mando had a touch of that and Boba was riddled with it, this one's sitting somewhere in the middle for me. I like what Andor is doing, but it's so slow it's frustrating.

Is that one of those AI generated things?

It was bugging me the guys voice who plays the second in command. It's the guy who portrayed Tommy in the game.

I mean it wasn't great, but it was no where near as crap as I was expecting it to be.

It's depressing how young we all were when the long term posters joined. I joined in 2005 and was 32!

I shall be watching that this afternoon as soon as I get home from work :)
Hank's attitude to Bobby's flamboyance certainly wouldn't fly these days :))

My 7 year old granddaughter wanted to watch that at the weekend!
