Converted tzx looks different
I finally decided to have a go at converting some of my old tapes to tzx incase i find any mias later on. I converted the game Speed King 2 by mastertronic and followed the guide. I used the command line function as the gui programm wouldnt work for some reason. I used the command maketzx bike.voc bike.tzx -f and it created it ok. It loads up ok from the 48k basic load"" just like the one allready tzxed but when i looked at it in the tape browser it has different blocks by the looks of things.

Try converting the VOC using the -ln switch:
"MakeTZX -fr1 -ln file.voc file.tzx"
A quick look at the TZX in Fuse on OSX reveals that the header block has been stored as a Turbo Speed Data block (ID.11) instead of ID.10, so it wouldn't display it as:
Bytes: "SKINGB ", or whatever that block is called...
Yer using PlayTZX -one I can see that he said block is 103% loading speed and the pauses look good too.
The above command line syntax would decode using a filter (-fr1) and force to a ROM loader (-ln) which should force all blocks to ID.10.
You could change the block in Taper to a ID.10 block if you like.
The TZX loaded fine in Fuse as well. Oh and I just compared the TZX on WoS and yours and it looks alright.
Cheers

Kevin Thacker created a more modular source bed and gave us Samp2TZX and Samp2CDT which handles more sample formats.
Samp2CDT can be useful to transfer some troublesome speccy tapes too ;) I think that's what we maninly usd for ADATE and Amstrad tapes on the Vault... which reminds me *cough*...
