I tried playing this game the other day, the thing is, it's really hard to avoid stuff and shoot the enemies at the same time. I mean spinning around doesn't help when you need accurate shooting.

Any tips people???

    Its a question of practice.

    I remember thinking it was impossible back when I was a kid. After a while you get a feel for the the levels and rotate the gun beforehand in anticipation of the arrival of enemies from behind etc.

    Also, be greedy. Especially in the early stages. Kill absolutely everything you can and collect the zenny. You can then purchase the powerful weapons in the shop earlier than normal. That makes the game a lot easier.

    If all else fails play the arcade original in MAME. At least on the arcade version you can control the gun rotation separately from directional control.

    One of my favorite games from way back when. I even bought the Amiga version a couple of years after getting it for the Spectrum.

    Strong agreement here. The only way I found to play the game was to memorize the alien patterns for the first couple of levels, wipe out every single one and max out your weapons
    for the later levels.
