Your best Ebay wins or near misses.

edited January 2006 in Sinclair Miscellaneous
About 3 years ago while working for Compaq/HP my morning routine was to come in and check out the Timex/Sinclair pages on Ebay.

One particular morning I opened it up and saw a deal I could not believe.

ZX80 Buy it now $10.

Shaking, I quickly entered my 'buy it now' bid and user ID and.....Sorry this item is no longer available.

Someone beat me too it by a matter of seconds. I emailed the seller to let him/her know what they were selling and its value but recieved no response.

Still hurts to think that 10 seconds eariler I would have had my best ebay deal ever.

Anyone got similiar stories?

I won an auction this week for Bloodbath At The House Of Death on video this week! Fantastic value at ?14.50 inc postage. I'm well pleased with that. Normally I just use the "buy it now" button if it's there as I've got no patience for auctions.
