?bomb? game name

edited January 2006 in Games
oh, I?ve forgotten name of the game (that was mentioned here before) with a jumping guy (maybe fireman) whose task was to extinguish/defuse the firing wicks of the bombs layed in the platform maze.
every level consisted of a single room with no solid borders - passing through any border means the character appears on the opposite side of the screen.

    Bomb Jack? But that's too obvious, so it probably isn't.

    Could be Short's Fuse.

    Necros.

    According to Infoseek, Richard Stevenson co-authored Short's Fuse (also known as Bomb Scare) and Bomb Fusion.

    The man does like his bombs. :)

    Necros.

    Wasn't there a "Bomb Scare" game made by Nintendo? One of those little hand-held ones from the 80's, right?

    wondering if you are thinking of a copy of the Arcade Game Check Man:-

    which interestingly enough was wrote/marketed by Zilec-Zenitone;

    Zilec Electronics Who wrote the contemporary arcade game Blueprint and Saturn, was of cause Tim and Chris Stamper and John Lathbury.

    Me? Nopes it's not the one I was thinking of. I'm like 93.86% sure that it was one of those mini handheld ones just like the Nintendo used to make. I think it was Nintendo because I remember the graphics were similar to their style and the little bleeps were same. And I'm sure the name had "Bomb" in it ... "Bomb Scare" ... "Bomb Squad" ... "melthebellleavesabombinthetoileteachmorning" ... something like that.

    Kudos!

    Funny enough I was thinking of both of them but in my memory I made them into one and the same. I have to admit I liked the first one more than the second one but both were excellent.

    Thanks for stirring up good memories!

    BTW does anyone here know if I can get any of these Game&Watch games as remakes for the PC? I remember finding a couple of years ago the one where they work in a packaging company but that was the only one I found at the time (and have now long deleted :( ). I did a quick Google which lead me nowhere so please if you know of any G&W remakes then please let me know. Thanks!

    I had downloaded a few (but lost them all in hard disk crash). However, many were rubbish/unfinished and not worth bothering with at all. However, I did find quite a few good ones here.
