I've looked at dorway.com, and it's the usual: anecdotes masquerading as "evidence", liberal use of the Post Hoc fallacy ("my dad used artificial sweeteners and died of cancer, therefore sweeteners cause cancer"), with a dash of the Fallacy of Proof By Selected Instances thrown in (the site mentions that aspartame breaks down in the gut to methanol, whilst conveniently omitting to mention the fact that the amount of methanol involved is negligible); etc.
The last point reminds me of one of the posts by one of the prime nutcases, Rich Murray, about five years ago; he put forward the same "aspartame breaks down to methanol" argument, and in reply somebody else pointed out that the amount of methanol resulting from drinking a certain amount of Diet Coke was only about half that resulting from drinking the same amount of fresh orange juice! :) Unable to deny this embarassing fact by lying, Murray resorted to the fantasy that the "artificial" methanol from aspartame is considerably more than twice as harmful as the "natural" methanol from orange juice; which of course was total bollocks, methanol is methanol regardless of source...
