Money money money
I am now debt-free. Until I buy a house, anyway.
Bloody hell.
Before I go and see some sort of financial advisor, can anyone give me any inspiration and point me to any scheme/bank/building society/etc I can invest some money and get a return greater than 5 to 7%?

Have you tired;

you need to set up a barb wire fence to stop it being stolen by leprechauns/ gnomes/ podinton peas and the rats of nimh.
You're unlikely to find much better rates than those you mentioned without a degree of risk, though if you're prepared to invest for the medium to long term you might want to consider the stock market, or take a look at a stocks and shares ISA now that we're starting a new financial year. Some of the more bullish analysts believe there are another 500 points or so in the FTSE - but I'm a bit sceptical about that. It may be better to wait and see how the Iran crisis and oil prices affect world markets first.

Ah you're in my club now.
I'm so rich now, that if I drop a 50 quid note. I'm just to lazy to expend any energy picking it up.
