Why don't we all meet in Cambridge, historical headquarters of Sinclair Research? though at one point it moved to London, or something. Where is it located, now?

Listen, it has to be Leicestershire, home to Ultimate, Pete Cooke, BadBeard and myself. Oh, and not to forget Blaby Software!!!!

The closest (in time) and the biggest 8 bit meeting is in March (I mean FOREVER) but I am afraid it could be quite a voyage for some people. FOREVER takes a place in Slovakia, so take a look on some maps if it's too long distance for You or not. I have been there once and I can say the country is very peaceful and friendly. And - what isn't unimportant - stuff in shops (food, drinks etc) is cheap.
I am still not sure if I go there this year, but if my British friends go (Gasman and Icabod), I would go for sure.
    The meeting's WWW site:

    Greetz to all,
    Yerz

Well I suppose my vote should count for something. And I unanimously vote for erm..Bangalore, India! No surprises I agree.

    Here is y:

    1) There are 6 pubs within 1 Km radius that play rock, country, classics, metal, hard, progressive, etc

    2) The weather is a pleasant 15 degree in the evenings and 22 degree in the day.

    3) Women are good looking, though, sadly, most of the good one's are taken.

    4) Beer is cheap and good!

    5) The air fare is neglibile from any point on the globe.

    6) The cops can be bribed (hurray!)

Okay, I'm not sure bout the 5th point! ;)
And oh... I don't have to move an inch! :)

    Bbulldog,

The Euro is the single worst thing to ever happen, in Ireland anyway? Can't speak for Germany, but everything here has increased in price by a sizable percentage.

    Necros!

I think you mean Roermond. Well, Urmond is just about 50 km more south. Just take a look at the map placed by the link I provided.

As for the Euro, I'm happy with it. I live near the German border so I don't have to change currencies anymore!

I think you mean Roermond. Well, Urmond is just about 50 km more south. Just 20 km north of Maastricht, 30 km west of Aachen. Just take a look at the map placed by the link I provided.

Germany is going to be like 1923 if they keep the euro. In 1923, Germany was really a 'System-of-a-going-down'.
I was actually just reading that in my History notes. Except for the Euro bit. All the rest is acurate.

Too bad, I would recommend Hooters here in the USA as a place to meet, but oh well... the UK it is. :)

We have hooters here in England as well you know, theres one in Nottingham at least.
If London is going to be the place, why dont we all crash the css meet? Im sure we'll be able to show em whats what.

And Imagine (sic) if our Speccy army gathered around the Rare headquarters in the nearby Twycross with banners 'PLEASE MAKE SABREMAN FREE!', now that should haunt the Stampers in their dreams ;o))

    I like the idea!
