Looking at the trailers for next week, it seems that Mickey saves everyone.
a floppy hat i "found" at glastonbury one time and numerous baseball caps ive never worn......including a rare streets cap i got sent for just being me :)

Either that trigger/davros wheelchair dude will tell them to stop, or they will all freeze whilst they download an update, or someone they will be allergice to gold, and the jewlery that some of them are wearing will be useful
Dr Who is getting to the point where it sort of needs to f**k off now.
I've enjoyed it but I've had suspend my belief and sheer annoyance for too long at certain things.
a) Billie Piper. Terrible actress of sub-Eastenders quality.
b) Billie's character. Liable to do something utterly stupid all the time. Has only three aspects of her character ie selfish, reckless and jealous. Likely to ruin every scene she's in and I really did give her the benefit of the doubt for all the Ecclestone episodes (and they've done the whole 'dont meet your dad' thing twice now and it was shit both times).
c) Billie's character's mum. Literally the worst thing on television. The worst acted, worst written character ever.
d) Ricky/Micky whatever. Reminds me of the girl in Grange Hill who used to say 'Rolannnd' all the time. Only there for stupidity-related comedy with an Inspector Gadget level of sophistication. Although the K9 car bit was good.
I think you are being too harsh there, but I agree with some points.
Roses's mum is a pain in the harris. That's the main problem I myself as a viewer have with the whole shooting match from the off, her mum.
Rose, surely, would have got her head around some of the basic concepts by now, and not spazz about quite so much at every twist and turn.
However, I do like the show overall. Better this, than nout.
Oh, I like Ultimate Force too, it's utter drivel of course, but enjoyable easy viewing boysown nonsense at the same time. Ditto, Spooks and Hustle, and Life on Mars.
Dr.Who
Life on Mars
Ultimate Force
Spooks
in no particular order, are the "dramas" I most like.
Also, I love Q.I
Question Time, This Week, the comedy slot on Radio 4 at 6.30, Mark Kermode on Five Live on a Friday Afternoon, and then I hop twixt local BBC radio, Four, Five, Talk Sport and Seven.
apart from that, most telly and radio doesn't interest me so much.

f) Casting. F'kin TRIGGER as a bad guy? What? Giles from Buffy was good though.
g) Dr's accent. Dick Van Shite more like.
Cybermen looked gash as well.
Series needs to get better and quick. So far the good episodes are the creepy ones, even if they just seem to be X-Files ripoffs.
If you don't like Doctor Who, you can always stop watching it. No-one is twisting your arm to tune in each week, are they? As for your comment saying how you've had to suspend your disbelief to enjoy it - well, thats exactly what you need to do when watching fictional scifi/fantasy TV shows - you didn't think all the monsters and stories were real did you? ;)
All the episodes revolve around Rose and Mickey. It should be about the doctor taking the lead, going to Skaro and Gallifrey most of the time
It'd be a bit dull, there'd be no-one there.
Anyway, back to the Cybermen ep. I don't think last night really did enough to justify all the parallel universe stuff, but I suppose it's not really fair to judge it before seeing part two.
Thought that every episode so far has been AMAZING. Aside from being a monitor for our Spectrums, this is what the Telly is for. But, erm, yeah, Trigger from OFAH? Hmmmm.
Still should have been set on Mondas, with the old cloth-faces! Now they were creepy!

calm down Precious!
its not the scifi/fantasy aspects that I was talking about. It's the fact that the Dr didnt just say to Micky and Rose 'Right, piss off then. I'm waiting here and when you clearly get into trouble and arent back in 24 hours I'm going to sod off back to somewhere good'.
I'm watching it incase they do something as good as the gas-mask kid episode again.
The cybermats had a gold allergy. Gold dust made them sneeze and their eyes would go all watery. Dr What (or it could have been When) just threw TNT at them.
Well, I liked the Cybermen episode. And I want one of those scary mecha-surgeon things for my birthday please.
Why the hell did the sight of ranks of marching cybermen scare me a little?
I liked the episode, but then again I was never a fan of the pre-Eccleston series. I have no problem with reinventing the birth of the cybermen, especially as it's a parallel Earth.
Hopefully Torchwood will make an appearance soon, as this would be right up their alley, esp as Pete Tyler has an inside contact with them. Unfortunately they spoiled the next episode by saying the Micky/Ricky will come to the forefront of things. What's the betting that "our" Micky will get killed and the parallel Ricky take his place, and in effect taking the place of Captain Jack for this series - after all, apparently Dr Who needs someone with a gun.
I thought it was excellent, trigger overacted slightly i thought, but it was up there with the gas mask episode.
Just a little aside, I have managed to do an XviD of the cybermen episode and removed the talkover on the credits and replaced it with the Dr Who theme ( its almost seamless but u can hear the join ) + the XviD has the directors, special effects guy and producer commentry track on it as well, its the first time i have tried to do anything like this i am well chuffed with meself only took a couple of hours now do i make it available P2P :)

I'm so glad to be proven wrong!
The escape at the start was a bit a cop-out though.
> It should be about the doctor taking the lead, going to Skaro and Gallifrey
For those who didn't watch the 7th Doctor series, there's a fairly good reason why he doesn't go to Skaro.
For those who didn't read the Virgin/BBC books, there's a fairly good reason why he doesn't go to Gallifrey.
Both reasons seem to have been sort of bunged together into a totally different reason for the TV series (Daleks vs Timelords TimeWar), so I'm assuming one/some of the 1st-8th Doctor BBC books will eventually come up with some way for this new reason to become canon.
I should say that while I've watched all of the Doctor Who TV shows, and read all of the Virgin/BBC, I don't memorise every little detail... So if I'm wrong with my answer here, don't flame me too hard :-)

Does this mean the rest of the series will have to go on without him?
ill eat my hat if he doesnt

but that argument becomes hollow eventually
Don't like it, don't watch. An end to t.v criticism.
Then, let t.v continue without any critics, becuase they don't watch the shows that they don't like....
It'd be a bit dull, there'd be no-one there.

that was the only episode that absolutely terrified my 7 year old
i only have to mention a gasmask and she glazes over :)
My 7 year old loved that episode.
