I want to see how popular Lucasfilm's The Eidolon is so here's a little poll. Take a minute to vote, everyone. You have one week before the poll closes. :)
It really is one of my all-time favorites. Just love the atmosphere and the feel of the game. Great 3D caverns and wonderful monsters. Wrote a short story based on it...Wonder where that went to!
I thought it was the one in the middle of the Lucasfilm fractal games; Rescue on Fractalus had more effective fractal graphics, Koronis Rift had better gameplay and The Eidolon was somewhere in between. I did like the cutesy monsters in it though.
Also, the Spectrum got the arse-end of all the conversions of all these games as they blatantly didn't suit the machine's graphics and sound capabilities. They were certainly a lot prettier on the Amstrad CPC (which I played them on) and the C64.
Anyway, from the results it looks like the majority of voters liked the game. I'm disregarding the votes for the third option as I only included it for the benefit of certain WoSsers who don't really need to be named. You know who you are mel, karingal, foggy, robert@fm & vincentAC. :p
