Sorry for the previous post, there was something wrong with my Expander. I managed to open the zip file fine today...
Wow! This must have been _a lot_ of typework! It looks really neat and complete.
I have a few remarks:
- I guess you used Distiller rather than the 'Virtual PDF writer': that's a good thing.
- It's Acrobat 4 compatible: that's also a good thing.
- You used TrueType fonts (Arial and Times) and that's not wrong, but not really recommended. PDF is PostScript and embedding TrueTypes can cause printing problems.
- What's the resolution of the pictures? Did you set the compression preferences to downscale them to 72 DPI? It might make the PDF's a bit smaller in filesize.

How can I prevent that? I created the original in M$ Word97 - and then ran the resulting .doc through the distiller. If I can remove any potential problems (and the times font, as I don't think I actually *used* it in the document), then I'd love to know how.

I think they're actually a bit small - I'd prefer a better, higher resolution myself :) I'll have a play and see what I can do.

Hey! What's going on here? All the text has uploaded oddly... I can't make that last bit out. Can you repeat that just one more time Dunny please? :D

There's little to be gained by zipping a PDF though, since the format uses compression techniques internally.
Works OK here (Linux/i386 or Solaris 9).
Right, going up on my site at:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/paul.dunn4/EliteMan.pdf
so you should be able to see it.
Comments on it, anyone?
