My M3 mini SD and Passcard 3 arrived this morning, went out and got a couple of 512 cards to play with so where do I send my firstborn to get hold of DSpec ?

Professional Mel-the-Bell Simulator................"So realistic, I found myself reaching for the Kleenex King-Size!" - Richard Darling
Well at the moment the kit to run it, which I wouldn't have bought otherwise has cost me about ?200, new DS lite for my doggies to live on ?110 (OK I got all the extras as well and a couple of games but it would have cost me ?90), ?70 for an M3 and Passcard, and ?25 for a couple of SD mini cards just for this project.
Also the first thing I intend to do is to work out a way of using the zxsoftware.co.uk database so I can offer it as an "add-on". If I can work out how to do it it should mean that I could offer a card "image" which would have the game, its instructions, and maybe even cover scans or other information in a reasonably easy to use format. If you have the instructions it might help you get into some games you have never heard of.
Thats how I intend to try and set mine up so I can in effect have the whole of zxsoftware on a single card.
This could also be useful for keeping keyboard mapping files sorted.
As my site gets updated then the image would also get automatically updated.
So I want to try it so I can, hopefully, make it as easy to use as possable so the Word of Sinclair gets spread to far and distant lands.
Getting my DS back-up card next week and can hardly wait. Been checking through the homebrew stuff available and was praying there was a Speccy emulator. Here's to thehive and hoping for a full feature set soon, I can't wait to try this emulator out :)
There is also some mad bugger who's ported Hexen to DS, with touch screen support. I hope it's fully featured too, can't wait to try it out.
I know, and no it's not.
It only works with media devices and does not support appended files systems. The current supported devices are Supercard, M3, or MK2/3.
I am getting an DS-Xtreme though, and a ROM based version will definately become available.
This really sounds like an excellent emu for the DS! Are you needing more beta testers?

Please feedback in the emuboard thread if you have problems, bug reports, suggestions, etc, etc.
Just ordered this kit to be able to play homebrew/downloaded stuff:

Thanks.
I PM'd him a couple of weeks ago and haven't heard back.
I'm dying to have a bash at DSpec.
I'll try to get around to replying to all PM's later.

I can't get the Manic Miner demo on the DSpec website to work, but I'm still trying to work out what all the bit and bobs are.
Any development news?
You're probably best asking on the forum below. Thehive seems to be more active there:
