It doesn't look bad:

But you just KNOW that the KnightRider movie will be piss-poor.

    Rubbish.

If they want a REAL super car, then THIS would give the movie credibility...

The Koenigsegg CCX is such a top car - ludicrously fast...

...BUT - will the KITT version have the Top Gear Spoiler???

If they'd wanted to catch the Spectrum users' eyes (i.e. they were targetting the film at the intellectual playboys of today, rather than the gimps who usually go to the cinema), then they could have used a C5, with a built in Spectrum for it's brain, and a Currah Microspeech for the voice. And they could have had one of Sinclair's 1980s pocket TVs stuck to the C5's dashboard, for when Michael's boss wants to communicate with him.

The onscreen enemies could have included Mr Kidda, Stagegame and Talk-Krap 64.

Bung in an AY theme tune, and you've got an instant winner.

Well, it would be better than the real film, anyway, judging by Hollywood's record.

Well I only used to watch Knight Rider for the chance to see Patricia Mcpherson(Bonnie Barstow). Man did she look fit in her white boiler suit. As for the car itself they should have left it as it is. A lesson they should have learned with Knight Rider 2000.

I wonder if the new movie will have a cameo appearance from David Hadditoff and whether the new car will still sound gay.

Hey ... erm ... NickH ... did you make that KITT picture?

    [MrObviousComesToTown]
If not then I'm going to point out the fairly obvious that it's a modded version of the one Dunny mentioned.

Or ... maybe the Hollywood companies are getting bored and sloppy, releasing half-arsed (non-motion) pics.

BTW ... I'm not sure if this thread was supposed to be a joke or if it's for real ...

    Yes?No?

    Skarpo
    :-?

I remember someone telling me once that the DeLorean (as featured in Back to the Future) used quite a few Allegro parts to keep costs down. No idea of the veracity of that information.

That wouldn't be totally inconceivable, the Delorean was made in Northern Ireland so they might well have used car parts made by Austin.

The Delorean turned out to be a huge scam, for those who don't know, and Mr Delorean himself was eventually arrested in America trying to sell several million dollars worth of cocaine. He got off on a technicality though and became a born-again christian.

I wonder if they used the 'Quartic Steering wheel' ?
