Cool! That Zelda game looks awesome. Can't wait to have a blast on that.
I hope it doesn't turn out a disappointment like The Wind Waker. That was far
too easy and sailing around that boat for hours really did my head in.

This is one console I'm really looking forward to.

But we'll probably wait a while until the price comes down a bit or we can get it 2nd hand from a numpty who doesn't like it :-D
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

if you want my advice wait till the PS3 is about to be launched (march i think)
nintendo will try to take advantage and do a price drop just before. (that's what i'd do if i ran nintendo anyway)

I thought WW was pretty good, and I had to Google a couple of things when I got stuck :-)

TP promises to be nothing short of awesome. Nintendo themselves have said it's the most beautiful game they've ever created. Here's a couple of trailers:

Try gamefaqs.com if you're ever stuck in a game, or for a forum for each game. Sadly they don't cover the Speccy, but then WOS is the best site on the net anyway, so that's alright:)

Cool trailers! It really does look like something special. This sort of game is
right up my alley (ooer!). I bet the bosses will be great and totally original, like most Nintendo games really.

Yeah it was way to easy, and I can't believe Famitsu gave it a perfect 40/40

Wind Waker was a resonable difficulty level. The Japanese edition had more levels, dungeons and bosses vus more difficult.

Thanks to Amy's sister who works at a game shop, I had mine pre-ordered five months ago.

Have you got any details on these additions? As far as I know they're the same, content-wise.

The walkthrough on the official Nintendo site doesn't mention any additions for the Japanese version:
    http://www.nintendo.com/strategygallery?gameid=m-Game-0000-823

Also, the Wikipedia article mentions no differences, and neither do the FAQs at GameFAQs.com:

This is what I've heard.. I've not got that far yet to see any difference - been too busy to load anything on the Gamecube.

US and UK sites aren't likely to include walkthroughs for Japanese versions..

There do appear to be some differences in the Japanese version of WW, according to this post:
    http://groups.google.co.uk/group/alt.games.video.nintendo.gamecube/msg/68ed3d1a341d1e7e

There are slight changes to the map. In the Jap version the Ghost ship is not shown, you have to look at the moon's phases to work out yourself where it is.

"Also, there were some changes to take out some tedious bits, like a series
of treasure chests that just gave you maps to other treasure chests. In the
NA version, the first chest just gives you the map to the last chest in that
    chain."

Here's another post giving a bit more info:
    http://groups.google.co.uk/group/alt.games.video.nintendo.gamecube/msg/2a0a88bac0c53eac?dmode=source

However, there's nothing to indicate extra dungeons or bosses.

Reet, that's the Wii pre-ordered from Gamestation for a ?20 deposit. They're doing a midnight opening, which is nice. Looks like I'll be throwing a sickie on the Friday...

i never trust pre orders. i pre orderd ocarina of time, and when i went down as soon as the shop opened, they said they had sold out and weren't getting any in till the next week. wankers. a few kids were gettting really upset, not to mention the mums and dads.

i had to hang around half an hour till smiths opened, and bought my copy there.

(i wonder if my copy of zelda is still there gathering dust?)

I preordered Lego Star Wars II from Play three weeks ago and was still waiting for it today until I cancelled it. (I used the money to pre-order Evanescence's new album)
