Anyone heard of the band 'Schmoof'?

They're an electro-pop band.

They use on stage graphics generated by ZX Spectrums supposedly!

Anyone seen them?

Never heard of them but I do have a Menlo Park CD here. Paul Simon's son (I think) is in the band and they played earlier in the day at the big Paul Simon concert of 2002 in Kilkenny. I bought the CD that day. Don't think I've listened to it more than once though.

    Necros.

Ah cool, cheers for the pics. The funny thing is at times I think the graphics look more like a c64 because of the chunkiness. The 'rock' picture is clearly a speccy though! :)

I'm off to see 'em in mid-october, though I've warned my girlfriend I'm only off to see the speccy graphics and not the woman in a PVC minidress!

I saw a clip a while ago of a guy called 386dx who played "Rape Me" by Nirvana completely through a 386 running win 3.x. It even had a naff text to speech voice singing it. Though this isnt as vintage as using a speccy for the graphics its still funny.

Watch his version of Rape Me here http://www.easylife.org/386dx/386dx-in-2001.mpg

Also Enter sandman in mp3 format

OT: check out the other band, Freezepop. I've been listening to them for a while now since discovering them on Myspace. Quite good if you like that kind of electro-pop thing.
