I believe we don't need to spill blood over Mr. Kizza. There is little point arguing back and forth and wasting forum space over him when it can be devoted to much more constructive things as mel would testify (ooer!). :P

I certainly don't require a Certificate of Trustworthiness from anybody to make up my mind regarding Kizza. Conversely, I suppose Palmer has his reasons to trust K and will make up (or has made up) his own mind regarding K. Let him be.

I guess the one thing we all do agree upon is that there is much Mr. Kizza has to answer for.

I hereby declare my part in this at an end.

Palmer, I might not like the people you hang out with, but I hold no grudge against you.

I hereby hold out my hand in friendship.

I disagree with your 'couldn't give a rat's ass' stance. Which could be considered provocative.

However, much of the content on JSII has been relayed to me by others. I may indeed have missed this information. Since I always understood there are post number restrictions on certain areas.

Quite alright. It did seem like you misunderstood me on purpose.
Would it be more edible for you if I left out the "to me" of the following sentence?:

I honestly couldn´t give a rat´s ass whatever he´s up to as long as he´s being straight with me.

Because I´ll do that for you. You know I will.

And here´s my hand right back! :)

That would have made the difference. I won't ask you to do it now. We've cleared it up, but let me know how you feel about it. I don't mind wiping out whole swathes of my posts if you want. It wasn't productive.

I'm sorry that it seemed personal. You never were part of my problem Palmer.

    :)

Hehe Well quite :) Gosh step away from this thread for a couple of hours and blimey.

Yes of course this is nothing to do with Palmer on a personal level. I find him a good poster and I hope I've made clear that my questions to him were out of pure curiosity , and not some expectation that he should think or act the same as most of us on this. :)

Can I take it however Palmer by your initial response to my questions , that you are still to be , shall we say "enlightened" on his part ?

    Ohh yeah.. I forgot something.
I was looking into this "Kay Downes" person who has claimed Space Thrust (just like our friend) and I found this...

    http://www.thekay.co.uk/

On her CV/About me section (page 3) she say this...

" I grew up playing computer games , as a child of the 80's. My first games console was the Atari VCS and first computer was a Toshiba MSX in the mid 80's. I later had an Atari ST which I wrote a couple of computer games on called Space Thrust and Platform Capers, both released as shareware."

I think we can say for sure this lines poor Kay up as another victim thats been squashed by the Kieren Hawkins bullshit snowball. :)

Couldn't agree more. But what colour would a bullshit snowball be. Would it be brown or white?.

Ok.. Fruit Pursuit... Guess what ?

First of all a BIG thanks to Paul Rixon over at the Page6 site for his help in looking into this and sending me a copy of this game.

http://www.page6.org/ (go check the site out) :)

I asked about the game that was listed in their (soon to open) ST PD downloads section and as well sending me the game itself he even went to the trouble of looking up some info for us. This is what he wrote..

"I have looked at Fruit Pursuit on disk ST643 and as you rightly say it is
shareware from Digital Dimension, whose address is given as 160 Great Meadow Road, Bradley Stoke South, Bristol, BS12 8DA, England. In addition, once thegame starts the credits are given as Programming and Game Concept by Mark Pearson, Playability Coordination by Gary Cooke and Graphics by "R4C"."

Anyway .. I booted it up and it looks about as close to one of his "Screenies" as his version of Quizmaster did to Djtez's !

    http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k158/spaceman70_2006/FRPU2.jpg

    http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k158/spaceman70_2006/FRPU3.jpg

So... with this in mind and the fact that (so far) 4 out of the 6 games he's put his name to on LTGD are CLEARLY not his (with one very suspicious and one we cant find a jot of info for).. Im going to make a post about him on both the LGDT forum AND the UKjagfest one , where he is due to attend the event in a couple of weeks. Time to let a few more of his buddies get the word I think...

If I were Kieren I would do the right thing and remove myself from the credits for all the games I've falsely claimed. Here's the list. Just do it quietly and don't claim credit for someone else's work in the future. It will always catch up with you.

http://www.atari.st/view.php?id=322 - "Not one of my better games..."

Well, you've got to admit, that's one statement he's made that's factually correct. It isn't one of my better games, either, and neither is Chase HQ or Fantasy World Dizzy.

I cant believe this bloke, i mean just the fact that hes constantly lying about things like this, has something seriously wrong if he wants to go round making out hes some master programmer, change his DOB several times etc

I have to go to Warrington to get his autograph ! He'll probably sign it Tim Stamper ! ;)

    Bump.

Would hate to see this finish up as *almost* the best thread ever.
    Any further developments?
  • edited October 2006
Yes there has been a new development - he's changed his name! The last pm I got off of him on the AtariAge forum was signed "Regards, Will.".
    I kid you not :)
  • edited October 2006
Will ? :D As in WILL nick your game credit given the chance ? How long ago was this ?

I was seriously thinking about posting about his antics on the jagfest forum for the event he is due to attend soon , but thought better of it seeing as he hasnt made any claims on that site , and would just make me look a bit more trollish than I already do. :) Im still keeping an eye on him over at JSII but so far he's being a good boy and keeping his gob shut about the games he's "written" or those of us who outed him.

This thread was class though

Dunno about the best ever but it's certainly in my top 5 WOS threads. Most threads don't spring to mind but I always look at this one just in case there's a new development.

"Where's boomzilla" thread springs to mind as a good one until good ol' boom kept getting left off the hook, and TK'Craps were good for a laugh, but this one has kept me enthralled until recently.

Like yourself, I want to know more!
  • edited October 2006
Well this isnt a development as such but something that made me laugh my ass off happened.

Over on the AA forum theres been an argument going on about a dev kit thingy for the jaguar Called the CF. A poster there called T2KFreeker , who is a FRIEND of Kizzas over on the JSII site , was having a bit of a ding dong with someone over piracy issues to do with this hardware.
Anyway , Kizza pops in , says something pretty inocuous , and his friend THROWS A MAJOR LEAGUE WOBBLER at him !! :D
    TK2FREEKER wrote:
Oh yeah Kizza', like you are a saint, give me a break, you stupid prick! All you do is blah, blah, blan, and lie, lie, lie! Like anyone really cares what you have to say about all of this? I can see it now, later on you will take credit for the CF just like you took credit for stuff that isn't yours like the Icee nmachine you supposdly created!

Laugh ? I almost shat !! Seems that behind closed doors they kissed and made up after , but it shows that even amongst his buddies , Kizzas reputation is as somewhat of a joke these days.

And an Ice making machine ? Man I wish I knew more :)

Hehe Now now brucey ... be nice :) T2KFreeker is actually one of the more level headed posters over there , and I applaud him for having the balls to actually say what I suspect most of us were dying to say for ages :D

Be funny if he claims credit for those games as well...

    there was no blanket!

anyway, just found about the AA thread. wow, that guy got so very busted. excellent stuff.

reminds me of a kid at my school back in the day. he tried to convince me that Crash came out weekly but later said they release new versions each week that correct typos. Despite actually saying he bought it weekly before.

he also said he'd finished the Speccy game 'Transformers' and that at the end you get to battle Megatron.

still, this was the guy that thought 'Amaurote' was pronounced 'Amor-a-tight'.
