Just had the final proofs arrive by Fedex... It almost looks like a real book, and the cover is just frickin' AWESOME...

The printer gave me a delivery date of December 14th due to heavy load for the Xmas season. I'm going to see if there is any wiggle room there (without incurring extra expense) because that will be a bit late to make sure everything is out for Christmas...

Thanks for the updates Andrew. Worst comes to the worst after the Xmas period it'll be like having a mini Xmas again when that great book comes through the door in Jan sometime.

Now get back to doing Vol II ;)

Are you going to email everyone who preordered again or are you just going to (snail) mail the book? I mean, I moved last week so you should know my new address (though I have a forwarding arranged at the post office).

PS. The book is currently being printed :)
The delivery date for the books from the printer is December 14th. I'll get them sent out in the two weeks that follow after that.
So, not quite in time for Christmas, but hopefully it'll be something to read after you've all recovered from your New Year hangovers :)

Out of curiosity, how many of the books are being printed that have yet to be pre-ordered? Or have all of them been allocated to a buyer?
I know I have one pre-ordered, I just wanted to post some news on raww.org and thought it would be handy to have an idea of "x copies left".

Approximately half of the original 1000 have been sold.

Although there will be some extra, due to printer overages etc.

I hadn't read this topic at all, when i looked at the site all i could see was pages of old game reviews and such like, i want a book that features pictures of all the spectrum computers and the packaging, release dates, different packaging versions etc, I know i am a bit anal, but there ya go i aint ashamed of it :)

Thank god this one isnt like that ! ;)

Its basically a games review book, from the pdfs it looks to be great, should be a great finished product.
