What game?

edited November 2006 in Games
This is a bit of a variation on the name-the-game format but indulge me. Here is a photo of xmikex and myself playing on my old spectrum. Judging by the look of us, it must be getting on for 20 years ago. You get a tantalising glimpse of the television screen - so which game are we playing? I'm thinking it's one of the Dizzy games (you can see a copy of the first Dizzy on the table), but I can't place the screen. Anyone have any other suggestions? I realise there ain't much to go on and it's probably asking a lot. It'll be a laugh though.

Here's the link to the pic:

Skarpo, you just might be right on that. That yellow blob on the left hand side is in fact the mushroom that you use to jump onto the ledge over the water. Cheers for that, I reckon you've cracked it!

NickH, the telephone is the least of my worries. It's my dodgy haircut complete with impossibly straight sideburns that need explaining. You could cut your finger off on sideburns like thon.

It's a well known fact that Dizzy is a "menis" to society ... erm ... or something.

Yay for me! I knew that spending all that time on Dizzy was going to pay off one day or another.

i always thought the game we were playing was dizzy due to the box being close by.check out our haircuts, too funny.mine looks like one of those lego men's do's you could slap on them to make them appear more human than having no hair at all.ah,those were the days, fashion was nowhere to be seen in our hometown by the looks of things.
